About

On December 3, 2024, Landon was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening Streptococcus agalactiae infection, which rapidly escalated, resulting in emergency open-heart surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. His journey to recovery was not an easy one but with the support of family, the amazing staff of nurses, doctors, therapists, and other personnel at the Children’s Hospital he was able to overcome. Rehabilitation included relearning the things that we often take for granted such as talking, walking, feeding, and dressing himself.

One of his favorite forms of therapy was music therapy. It helped him during some of his harder days of extreme pain or when he experienced a lack of motivation. Music truly was a lifeline for Landon, it was healing.  As a section leader in his high school’s marching band at Highland Springs High School, he brought music, leadership, and light to so many.

After over a month of this intensive care, he was discharged to inpatient rehab on January 17, 2025. Tragically, the very next day, he suffered a massive stroke and was rushed back for an emergency surgery.

Landon fought with incredible strength and resilience, but despite all efforts, his journey here came to an end in the early hours of January 30, 2025. He was an extraordinary young man—talented, kind, and deeply loved by all who knew him. He lived to make an impression-a positive one. His warm smile and genuine kindness also left a lasting impression on every guest he served at Chick-fil-A Parham Road located in Richmond Virginia. Through service of others Landon's legacy will live on.
